Ahmedabad, India  ·  Since 1969

Cloth made by many hands.

Hand block print, embroidery, appliqué, weaving and tie‑dye, made with artisan families across Gujarat and Rajasthan since 1969, for the world’s most considered homes.

§Honeycomb International

A honeycomb is built by thousands of small, patient makers, each adding a cell to something larger than themselves. That is how our cloth has been made since 1969: printed, dyed, stitched and quilted by hand, by families whose craft is older than any brand. The same hands, the same patience, still at the table.

02How it is made

From block
to bed.

01

Carve & print

A pattern is carved in reverse into teak. The printer strikes it onto cloth by eye, repeat after repeat.

02

Wash

The printed cloth is rinsed in open tanks so that only the fast colour stays.

03

Dye

Indigo and madder in copper cauldrons. Cloth is dipped, aired, and dipped again for depth.

04

Cut & stitch

Appliqué is cut freehand with iron shears and sewn down with invisible stitches.

05

Quilt

Village women layer, tack and hand-quilt each piece, working outdoors in good light.

Every quilt is finished by hand
06

Finish

Every piece is checked, pressed, folded by hand and packed for its journey.

03New for 2026

Fresh from
the quilting frame.

Our newest designs: block-printed paisleys and florals in indigo, terracotta, mustard, teal and stone, hand-quilted in a running stitch with a striped reverse. Six colourways, sampling now.

05What we make

For the bed, the table,
the window and the wall.

Everything is made to order, to your design or ours, in the quantities a considered brand actually needs. Minimums are modest, sampling is fast, and every piece is finished by hand.

06The archive

A private collection
of Indian cloth.

Fifty years of collecting kantha, patola, appliqué, phulkari, kalamkari, Kashmir shawls and bandhani. The archive is where our new work begins, and it is open to clients who want to design from the source.

07The hands

Printers, dyers, quilters,
cutters and stitchers.

We do not own factories. Since 1969 we have worked with families and workshops across Kutch, Saurashtra and Rajasthan who have practised their craft for generations, paying fairly by the piece and returning season after season. Their names do not appear on the label. Their hands appear everywhere else.

08The showroom

Cama Hotel,
Khanpur.

For decades our showroom in Ahmedabad has been where buyers from Paris, Madrid and San Francisco sat down with tea, a wall of folded quilts and a table of samples, and designed the next season. It is open again, by appointment. Come and see the cloth in person.
